Electricians have a reputation for being late, under-communicating, and over-charging for their services. A general misconception is that they don't care about their customers and that I will never get a fixed price with the service. In most cases, the problem is that electricians operate under a business model where the customer takes on all of the risks. They face many unpredictable challenges in their work and often have to work on multiple projects simultaneously, making it challenging to commit to a fixed price or specific timeslot. Nobody knows what the wiring looks like until you open up the wall, or the parts you ordered for the job did not arrive, or the timetable got pushed forward on another critical project.

To solve the underlying issues, I helped Spoton reshape the whole industry by altering the core of the business model. One that takes on full responsibility, from helping the customers understand their own needs, all the way through installation and follow-up. And it needed to be a solution for the electricians as much as for the customers. Spoton is here to solve this issue, a platform that is transparent enough for the customers, building trust between customers and electricians.
